Mike's softball season has started! I go to almost all of his games to show my support. A few of our friends are also on the team and I love to hang out with the other ladies cheering on our men! My mom and brother also come to a bunch of the games too so it's always a fun time in the sun. Or rain. Or freezing cold. Really, it's just a fun social engagement for me a couple days a week!
I am loving the song You Don't Own Me by Grace ft G-Eazy. It's actually an old song (first released in the 60s) and I have loved it since I heard it in my all-time favourite movie, Dirty Dancing. I love that this remix has a little bit of a more urban vibe but still stays true to the original version. It's what I am playing on repeat these days!!
Did anyone watch the Big Brother Canada finale last night? I don't want to spoil anything in case there are people who are behind so I won't say who won but it was a fun finale! The people I was rooting for (first Mitch, then Cassandra) sadly didn't make it to the end. To be honest, I didn't really care for any of the finalists so it didn't matter much to me who won but I was still surprised by the outcome!
In the past I have been pretty tight-lipped about this little blog of mine in fear of people thinking it's silly/a waste of time/too revealing. It shouldn't be as big of a deal as it is for others to know since this is out in the open for anyone to find. But this week I told two more of my girlfriends about it and I am so grateful for their amazing feedback and support. Ladies, you know who you are. Love you!!
I want to wrap this week up by spreading some love to a couple fellow bloggers!
- I have been reading Chris Loves Julia for years and their blog is primarily about home renos. This week they announced that they will be hosting a podcast! So far I listened to the first one and already I love it!
- Tawnya at All of Life's Little Adventures wrote a very real and heartfelt post about motherhood. I think there's so much I have to learn about what it means to be a parent and I love reading things like this that show the good, the bad, and the ugly. I especially love this quote "...it’s about falling apart so that you can put yourself back together only more mature, more insightful, more forgiving, more patient, more deliberate..."
I hope you have a happy Friday the 13th and a very wonderful weekend! See you on the other side!
