For me, May means looooong-awaited warmer weather and blooming flowers. Because, finally. This month we will be celebrating our amazing moms for Mother's Day, attending a friend's wedding, the start of Mike's softball season, and a few birthdays. Should definitely be a good month!
Mike was off at said friend's bachelor party for most of the weekend so it was up to me to hold down the fort. On Saturday, I started the day with a delicious smoothie for breakfast. I always want to drink more smoothies but sleep takes priority on workday mornings and I just can't find the time to make any sort of breakfast. Anyone else? I know it's a bad habit but I usually just pick up a coffee on my commute and call that my first meal of the day.
I spend the rest of the day with my mom and brother. We tried geocaching again but went 0 for 5 so we won't talk about that. Philip was also eager to brush up on his baseball skills since it was so nice out. We brought a ball and bat to a nearby park and I threw him a little BP. I think for the very little training he has had, he has some natural talent!
In the evening, I caught up on some girly TV that Mike doesn't usually care to watch. Did anyone catch Patricia's flamingo party on Southern Charm? I want to throw one of those now! With a backyard like hers, any theme would be a success. Her whole house is gorgeous!
On Sunday, I was out and about and stumbled across the prettiest little beach on Lake Erie! It was at the end of a picturesque gravel road and completely deserted. I definitely want to return there on a warmer day. Hopefully it will be just as empty!
Overall it was a nice, calm weekend but I am very happy to have my husband home! I'm ready to jump back into the weekly routine. I hope you had a great few days off!
Linking up with Biana at B Loved Boston for her Weekending series!
